Decarbonization & Net-Zero Training

Overview of Decarbonization Training

At Bigeta Energy Solutions, our experience across hundreds of energy audits, GHG assessments and sustainability engagements has given us deep insight into one of the most critical challenges facing the  organisations today: decarbonization and the transition to net zero. From quantifying emissions across complex industrial operations to identifying practical pathways for reducing fossil fuel dependence, this real-world expertise forms the foundation of our programme.

Why Decarbonization and Net Zero Training

The Decarbonization through Energy Consumption Training (with a pathway to Net Zero) is designed to equip organisations and professionals with practical, implementation-focused knowledge to evaluate and reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions associated with energy use. The programme covers key carbon accounting principles, including Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 Emissions, enabling participants to develop accurate and comprehensive emissions inventories. Participants will gain hands-on understanding of how to quantify emissions from energy sources such as fuel consumption, grid electricity, LPG and thermal systems while establishing emission baselines and identifying major emission hotspots.

The training strongly focuses on Decarbonization Strategies such as energy efficiency improvements, fuel switching, Process Optimisation and Renewable Energy Adoption, while also connecting these actions to long-term Net zero goals.

Key Benefits of Decarbonization and Net Zero Training

The Overview of the Program is on the benefits of having a good energy measure plan, which will bring value to an organisation’s ability to reduce its carbon emissions, by providing the following:

The science behind the impact of energy usage on carbon emissions for your organisation.
The different ways to measure and record carbon emissions from energy sources (Electricity, Diesel, LNG, Thermal Energy Systems, etc.).
How to calculate baseline carbon emissions and identify significant sources of carbon emissions within the organisation.
Different ways of improving the carbon footprint and decarbonising your operations (energy efficiency, electrification, and clean technologies).
Reduce carbon emissions through the use of renewable energy (solar) sources.
Utilise energy infrastructure effectively (boilers, chillers, heat pump systems, HVAC systems, industrial processes) to reduce carbon emissions.
Develop the ability to track and assess the success of carbon reduction efforts using energy performance metrics and emission measurement tools.
Gain a better understanding of developing long-term decarbonisation plans and continuous improvement.
Support organisations in creating and implementing decarbonisation plans that reduce emissions, meet long-term sustainability goals, and align with climate objectives.

At the end of this program, participants will have the knowledge to create a structured decarbonisation process in managing electricity and thermal energy consumption to reduce carbon emissions and improve overall energy performance.
